Create Fall Home Fragrance

Sweater weather is on its way, and youíve probably already started to haul out your fall stash of decorating goodies and pick up new favorites at the stores. (TikTok-famous ghost rug, anyone?) One simple way to amplify the cozy feeling in your home is to add a seasonal scent, and you donít have to buy another candle to do it. Shannon Acheson of Home Made Lovely shares how to create a simmering potpourri with fresh fruits, herbs and spices.

Upgrade Your Accent Pillows

There are so many possible combinations, but we are including a spicy orange scent and a lighter lemon option. Feel free to tweak the amount of each ingredient to your preference. If you love cinnamon, add more cinnamon sticks. If you adore rosemary, add more rosemary sprigs. To simmer your potpourri, place all the ingredients in a saucepan on the stove and simmer on low. Or, as a worry-free alternative, try a mini slow cooker meant for keeping dips warm. Either way, be sure your pot or slow cooker doesnít run out of water!
