No-Sew Curtains for Fall

No-Sew Curtains for Fall
Photographed and Styled by Gridley + Graves

It may seem a bit daunting and costly to swap out your window treatments to suit the season, but no-sew café curtains made from tea towels provide an easy and affordable way to do just that. Just gather a pair of tea towels, iron-on hem tape, drapery clips and tension curtain rods for this quick fall update. Courtney Affrunti of the Golden Boys and Me blog explains how:

STEP 1: Buy a pair of matching tea towels with an autumn motif.
STEP 2: Measure the length of the lower windowpane from the top of the sash to the sill.
STEP 3: Fold the top edge of each tea towel over to create a hem that suits the measurements.
STEP 4: Use an iron to secure the hem in place with iron-on hem tape.
STEP 5: Slip drapery clips onto tension rods and fit the rods into your window.
STEP 6: Clip the tea towel café curtains in place.
